Picked up our TDV6 SE from Guy Salmon Knutsford today...very pleasant dealer experience I have to say.
Good drive back on a very windy and sometimes torrential rain M6, the car is great
Got home, fitted Travall dog guard (very well made, easily fitted and very secure - highly recommended) and the boot liner from ukcustomcovers on e-bay (again well made, easily fitted and good quality)....loaded up Murphy and Boris the Golden Retrievers (Murph the 3 year old stood a bit close for a standing jump in and took 2 attempts but Boris the 6 month old puppy took a run up and a flying leap and he was in!) and off we went again. Think the boys will enjoy their new 'doggy wagon'.
23.5mpg....who cares!

Wait until it's not windy, you are driving a brick at 70mph. MPH should average out a bit better than that unless you have Expo rack, STT's and a very heavy right foot

Well I got mine from there as well about 3 weeks ago.
Echo the experience. Could not fault it and will no doubt be back there in a few years when its time for a change. I am sure the MPG will get better. I seem to get between 29 and 32 according to the display, although many will say the display tells porkies !!
enjoy the car. I know I am. . Club newbie

I brought my first disco ever (2006 2.7TDV6) a few months ago from Gordon Lamb, engine management shut down to safe mode on way home, returned to dealer and my ever reliable PX Jeep Grand Cherokee was still parked in car park, in fairness it was a minor glitch, returned again three days later with a parking brake failure warning, again just a minor glitch, the day after that I set off on a 1600 mile trek around scotland and it was effortless and faultless still can't stop smiling, just hope the glitches stay away now....
But welcome all the same from a fellow newbie.
This forum is brill as i have used it to add the AUX socket to my radio, fit radio controls to my stearing wheel, all without problems which is not bad considering you have to remove the airbag, so keep up the knowledge.
I must add I have upgraded the standard 17" rims with RRS 19" andd they look the dogs B******s Harribo
