Coin Tray centre box Discovery 4 |
|
I have read on the site somewhere about these trays but for the life of me cannot find it now.
Can anybody point me in the right direction.
I have been told they can be put in the lid of the centre box and make an ideal place to keep any documents, Insurance certificate for instance.
The other thing I am looking for, I'll mention it here rather than start a new post, is a 'high' sided rigid (plastic ? ) boot liner.
When I say high sided I am thinking in the region of around 6" to 10"
I'd appreciate any help with that also.
Thanks in anticipation.

I have found a company, Carbox of Windsor, that imports boot liners from Germany and the high sided one for my Disco is priced at £197.95.
A tad pricey but I reckon it will be worth it in the long run, it comes with a 'drop down' carpet for the tailboard and a ten year guarantee.
I've still had no luck with the coin tray.

Coin tray is about £20 from LR. Speak to dan at duckworths
Not a rigid boot liner, but very good nonetheless is the hatchbag including tailgate panel from hatchbag.co.uk Bodsys Brake Bible

Thanks Bodsy, I have seen the other boot liners, some come up the side and held in place with Velcro but I reckon my dog would probably make short work of that
Also, at a later date, a rigid liner may be adapted to fix on a BackRack fixed to the tow bar.
Thanks for the heads up on the coin tray.

Thanks Canburne, I already have a proper dog box, it's called a Discovery 4
The doggy scent is intolerable after three years, that's why I have to change them and it coincides with the expiry of the vehicle guarantee

I have just missed the coin tray that was advertised on here.
I hope I'll catch the next one or maybe when someone has one to sell they may contact me - hopefully.

That's the one, the same as the one that went on here a day or so ago for less than half the price of that.
I asked if anybody had one for sale about two weeks ago but my request was obviously missed.

If you get a spare one and turn it upside down it will go in the lid of your middle box, ideal for keeping your Insurance documents in.

Coin tray, shmoin tray! It sits at the top of the box between the seats and if you put coins on it, then you've got to lift it out to get at anything in the box. So you have then got a tray full of loose change in one hand and you are trying to find and retrieve something from the box, maybe on a wet winters day with a thick coat on, perhaps something to wipe a window. The passenger is getting in, with a thick coat on, handbag or something, elbows everywhere, recipe for disaster! Not one of Land Rovers' best innovations I've found.

It's called a coin tray but only an idiot would put coins in it as they would rattle and slide about at every stop and turn.
It is for putting odds and ends in that do not rattle or slide about and as for getting to anything under it, there is a gap at the front that lets you pick it out and held level you won't drop anything from it.
I still want one but not at some of the prices advertised.
