Codes after a rough few days on my car
Hi all
Last week I was pretty much stuck in a position where I had to tow 6.5 tonnes total weight of trailer and full car. Up a steep 2 mile track.
The car was under massive strain and would only move in low range 1st gear. It overheated once.
Then days later on way home same again weight 6.5 tonnes total. Going up rhuallt hill. 2/3s way up the car blew some black and brown smoke out briefly.
Obviously it’s all made me very anxious about the internal damage (if any)
I’ve hmjust had the codes read on my friends good quality machine.
Please see images and can anyone advise if anything looks bad please?
Also should I be checking codes for any other modules?
Thanks in advance
May be all fine but I feel I need to check
Two of the injectors seem to have lower readings if I’m not mistaken. But I know nothing about them!

That's live data.
Read the codes with your autel and see what you have

I did live feed to see how injectors etc are performing
I also read codes. All seemed ok. Cleared. Only one that come back was attached p0693 viscous fan. Or fan 2 control even:
So by the looks of the live feed it’s safe to say the engine is good?Disco 3 SE Manual 2005 V6 2.7

You would need to be an expert to look at the life data and say it’s ok.
The fans code is a worry. And may explain the overheat
Check the fans plugged in

Ok thanks
So I just unplugged the viscous fan on both plugs and sprayed with contact cleaner then ensured they were properly clicked in
Opened my autel tool
Seen codes for “cylinder 5 fuel trim” and “injector”
Oddly first time seen since scanning several times yesterday
As well as the fan low
So I cleared the codes
Drove 10 minutes and checked again
And no cylinder or injector codes but fan high and low codes come up
Any clues what to do next please?
Does the cylinder fuel sound bad or is likely to do with injector?
Should I be driving this or taking immediately to mechanic please?
Thanks

You can drive it.
I guess some injector cleaner would be a good idea. See if that helps
Maybe you should look for a replacement fan.
It could be a wiring issue, but if you can get a 2nd hand fan.....

Just updating on this thread…
Was the injector corresponding to cylinder 5. Cost me £220 for a used one plus labour. Job done in a day. And code remains gone.
Out of interest, is the mentioned price considered average for this job?
Also, the fan, ill keep an eye out for a fan. Ive got the tool as you will
Know. I did check the wiring on the current one but codes still coming for it
Thanks againDisco 3 SE Manual 2005 V6 2.7
