I was referring to the Scangauge that Bogblaster and others have posted links to.
I know the Auto Logic tool well but it is far too much money for what I need now, I only use a code reader for family and friends cars and the one I already have works on everything except the D3s..

OK but I think this thread shows you the options, AFAIK there is no simple code reader unit compatible with the D3....Cheers

This is what I find strange as the D3 is supposed to be OBD (CAN) compliant, isn't it?
I thought it was a 'Euro rule' now that all cars sold in the EU are ?
And although I don't want a scan gauge II, why does that work and all the other reader not ?.

I tried all positions on the ignition, but at no time would the unit sync with the LR3.
This scanner works with all the other cars I've owned in the last 4 years, but the LR3 was having none of it.
Very odd! 08 LR3 SE V8 - 02 D2 SE7 V8

My alientech tuner console can not only read and upload the entire ECU file (for remap tuning) but can also read and reset DTC codes. Bell auto (site sponsor) do their remap tunes based on the alientech kit. Maybe they can help. There's one wheel on my wagon, but i'm still rollin' along, it's the cherokee, they're after me, but I'm singing a happy song

Mine costed £300 including 2 remaps from the UK supplier who is not a site sponsor so cant name him here. Saw same unit in germany for €295 but didnt trust the supplier after visiting his outfit personally. not sure if there is a supplier for Aus, checkout parent site www.alientech.to (torino italy). Might be more expensive now as many are re badging it.There's one wheel on my wagon, but i'm still rollin' along, it's the cherokee, they're after me, but I'm singing a happy song

As your not selling it, but only providing your feedback on it, there should be no conflict of commerical posting, your just priving the details of what your using so others can choose to look at them or not.
If we've got site sponsors vetting our posts now on things we've bought or looking at buying, then that is just getting silly......
Whilst we should support the site sponsors as much as possible, we need other ideas and input on tools/technology etc etc so should not limit ourselves to only the site sponsors.
I see toolmart & screwfix recommeneded on here from time to time, but they don't sponsor the site either......

That could make the updates on your mods (modifications to the D3 rather than the D3 Mods) really interesting Certainly a hell of a challenge to decipher Bodsys Brake Bible
