Climate Control (or lack of it)

Did I read here recently that the lastest software (v8.0?) fixes the renegade climate control?

I hope so - I spend quite a lot of time hunting for the right temperature. Seems a software-upgradeable issue for sure.

I hope the new software takes into account people that wear flip-flops when the a/c is on. Very Happy

My feet get SUPER COLD when I drive with flip-flops- which now is 99% of the time.

Other than that, no probs here.

I may just end up pluging up the footwell vent for the season.

had the latest SW installed recently and my A/C seems to much better now !

no really high temps yet here in the UK but I now can set at 18c car is comfortable... before went cold and only got heat (after initial warm up) if set to 24c or above.

secretive approach...

it is supposed to rid me of the random Park Break errors and occasional Suspension Errors.

Also allowed them to setup drive away door locking - I have not Settings Menu on my 'S' which remains a problem as all on the forum with an 'S' do.

But hey the locking was the only thing I really needed to set.

LR CS are calling me Friday apparently so will revisit this again.

Hope this helps

My aircon wouldn't turn on a few days ago. It just blew hot air for about 5 miles. Then BAM the aircon turned on.

Is this "renegade climate control?"

I got the pre-cooling working the other day via the radio trick. However, I think it's just a fan rather than a full-on aircon job - the air coming out didn't feel that cold. Anyone tried it?

It just circulates air, engine would need to be running for the aircon to work

Yes I tried pre-cool. It is just fresh air from the outside. Better than nothing though.
