Quote about the FFRR TDV8 "It's the best car in the world"

Refering to a small article on the sales slumps by land rover and possible hard times ahead for the workers at Solihull, sobering thoughts. Sad

Ooooooohhhhhhhh I dunno - while deciding what to replace my previous Range Rover with the FFRR got a serious trashing, using the best part of two tanks of diesel in two days. I nearly didn't want to give it back. On the other hand the D3 was a good two tanks in two days, and I really wanted to keep it. Put this in context, the Merc was back before lunchtime on the first day, the Toybus would have been back much quicker, but it wouldn't do it, Lexus never leant me one for a proper test drive (not that I was that impressed after the accompanied drive). The Jeep was tried and found sadly wanting, Mitsu and Nissan just don't look the part, moderate though they might be. Sad too say the FL and RRS are just too small for my needs, but having had them as loaners I can say that RRS (like the FFRR) needs a V8 not a six, and FL is a nice little car to drive, but no good loaded with people or kit.
And during the drive I didn't try any of them off road - honest - well there may have been one exception Whistle and it was only a little green lane, honest, honest....

Try this. Go into any LR dealer and tell them you want a new TDV8 FFRR. Bet you will struggle to find one available.
In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
