"Claimed Field Service Actions"

Hi,

I have a copy of a report from my LR main dealer called "Direct Dealer Warranty - Vehicle Details". They supplied the car secondhand to me in July. The car was supplied to the previous - first owner by a different LR main dealer.

Under the section on the report titled "Claimed Field Service Actions", there are two "Codes" listed - "A034B" and "A036D". Both were actioned on 21 July 2006 by the original supplier.

I have emailed the original supplier for details, but does anyone know what the codes mean?

This is the "Enhancement program" that early D3's were given around that time. It covered many items, such as checking the compressor, general software upgrade, checking the tailgate struts and park brake.

The dealers were told to carry out the program at the next available opportunity, so all vehicles should have had it done by now.

It made a big difference to the reliability of mine. Before enhancement, I got a few suspension errors, after I have had none.

I now have another report titled "Direct Dealer Warranty - Claim History List", from the original LR main dealer. It also shows to me meaningless information (it does include the A034B and A036D codes as you can see):

TAG500150 is front differential,
LR003356 is turbocharger,
1316149 & 1316149 are EGR valves
IGG000060 is TCM - for a DiscoII Shocked
A034 / 036 relates to the Enhancement programme, the rest, I have no idea...

Odd that something is reported about a DiscoII - I just checked and I have not made a typo. Forgive my ignorance, but what is 'TCM'.

EGR = Exhaust Gas Recirculation. Part of the emissions controls on modern diesel engines. I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
