CHIP TUNING REMAP

Thinking of using SP TUNING ...anyone used them before?

They say.

In our experiences of tuning this model we found the best way to reprogramme this ECU(Engine Control Unit) is by doing this on-board. This means we basically connect our equipment directly to the OBD multiplug.
Once connected we read all the data from the ECU, this data is stored safely as a backup. This data is then modified(remapped) to optimize the performance of the engine, the new data is then installed.....Ready for roadtest!!
We will leave you a copy of the original data on a CD for safe keeping.

Standard Power =190bhp

Optimized Power =218bhp

Standard Torque =440Nm

Optimized Torque =500Nm

Not on here they don't Wink

I suggest that if you want to remap your D3 you stick with the recognised, tried and tested brands that are available. They are well documented on here ...just requires a quick search Wink

"Your" data on a CD as backup is a complete waste of time, anyone with the necessary kit to apply an engine map would also have access to a std map....

As before I´d stick with the recognised brands documented here with lots of successful work carried out and happy customers....
 Cheers

I've never head of them either. Though that's not to say that they're not genuine people.

For what it's worth I would recommend Td5 Alive's TDV6 remap. I'm very pleased with the result on my vehicle.

Standard stage 1 tunes (Torq Tune, Turbochip, JE engineering) give considerably more power and torque ca. 240 bhp / 560 Nm. and its not just about figures, but your individual motor, the feel of the car and how you like to drive. I Wouldnt touch others as there be crooks out there that know nothing about Landrover and would happily sell you a box of resistors that could ruin your engine.

Get it done properly, even if it costs a little more.
