Is there a check list on the site with type specific things to check when looking at a used D3 with a view to buying? Looking at two fairly high mileage examples this weekend. Thanks for any replies.Make the most of this life, you may not have a Landy or skis in the next one.

Diff noise (usually front), lower control arm bushes, ARB bushes if you are concerned either take off money to fix or walk away.“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

Check it has a spare wheel! Check air suspension goes up and down. See if you can find a bumpy grass verge that you can drive half on/off to hear bumps/clunks from underneath. Check all interior electricals - doors/windows/ICE etc. See if it has tow bar electrics to see if it's been towing. Then usual car buying checks... Good luck 2020 SDV6 D5 HSE, Carpathian Grey +

...or for the price of the RAC/AA check put it in for a full main dealer service and get them to give it the once over?

Didn't see responses, sorry, auto notify didn't work.
The D3 is an '06 base with air, manual, 7 seats, 90k miles. Seems like road use only, no crap underneath - and generally average all round. A private sale, partial service history. I've driven it, it seems very slightly 'floaty' on the road but I haven't driven one since last Sept. Tyre wear is even. It's very cheap at £11k, so can afford to right any minor wrongs, I suppose. Can't get one cheaper, I believe. Short MoT to end Sept. Brakes all seem okay, new discs/pads 30k ago. Can't really afford much more due to building a house.. Would like auto and I'm seeing an '08 XS with 83k miles on Monday but £16k is a struggle, even though it's under warranty, but it belongs to a farmer... aaaghhh! Either will not be a main vehicle so no big mileages planned, but we have to have a Landy for towing and during the winter and we're fed up with the 90, especially in the winter!
Apologies to any farmers reading this, I'm sure your D3's & D4's are never used for towing combines and taking coos to market.. muchMake the most of this life, you may not have a Landy or skis in the next one.
