I’m heading down tomorrow and the forecast doesn’t look too brilliant, especially for the weekend. How reliable are the met office (BBC Weather App) forecasts in that part of the world and are there any local pubs with decent sheltered outside areas that would suit a couple of OAPs ?2010 MX-5 2.0 Sport Tech PRHT

Pretty unreliable - that's the problem with being a narrow peninsula.
I tend to use met office, but my personal rule of thumb is that the weather comes at you about 20% faster than they predict, so the weather from 4 days out hits you at day 3. So following my theory, I'd say that Mondays weather is what you'll get on Sunday.Long succession of Disco's since 2001...

If you have a wet day, you're not too far from the Eden Project which reopens on Monday 17th after lockdown.
Worth a visit if you've not been before but you need to pre-book. Once you've walked from the car park you would be under cover.
Its not cheap to get in but you can easily spend a few hours there

I use weather channel and have rain alerts and generally there pretty reliable. Lovely part of the world and there are a couple of pub/restaurants there with outside seating hopefully now covered.Steve

Thanks for the replies.
We arrived Friday afternoon and have managed to pick our way around the main downpours although the missus is complaining that it’s cold. We’ve got a couple of meals booked indoors later this week but I’m quite happy with the cider and a brolly.2010 MX-5 2.0 Sport Tech PRHT
