Charging batteries in our trialer from a D4

Ok so looking for some advice here

We run a very high end treadmill from a very high end inverter that works from 2 x 125ah 12v batteries

We normally plug these into the mains and the charge the batteries when not in use and balance the power so when the treadmills tries to pull more than 12amps it balances extra power from the batteries

Has anyone got any experience or advice how we could charge the batteries from the D4

There's no reason why a standard caravan set-up wouldn't work if all you want to do is charge when not being used.

I don't know the part numbers are but there will be two kits: one will provide twin sockets - 12N and 12S, the latter being the one that provides charging, or one that gives a single 13 pin socket, this being the newer standard. From there it will just be a case of providing the appropriate plug on the trailer and wires from the correct pins to connections on your batteries. You might want to incorporate an isolator for when the batteries are in use or disconnected.
