Changing Plastic scuttle panel

Hi all,

I have ordered a new plastic scuttle panel for my D3 as it has suffered from UV damage. Its way beyond back to black....

Has anyone else changed this? Nick on here said he has sold a few so there must be others suffering?

Can anyone shed any light on how you go about the task?

Take a 50p peice and insert into the big plastic screws. Turn and then remove the panel....

Removal is the reverse.....

When you say scuttle panel, I assume you mean the panel across the bottom of the windscreen (no big 50p turny screws there.) Confused

Assuming that's the case, it's easy to get off, just remove the wiper arms, there's a nut under each of the centre caps where they go on the spindles, just note though, the two arms are different and want to go back the same way.

Then you will need to pull off the rubber seal that goes over the lip at the back of the bonnet opening, also you need to prise off the "A" pillar outer plastic trims, this is where you may need to get some new clips for them, they are rather flimsy.

Once all this stuff is out of the way the scuttle panel just lifts off.
