Change Turbo or Not
I am in a bit of a dilemma.
After the recent service I was told the turbo has a leak but it is "not a major concern at the moment" but would need replacing at some point.
I have been estimated a minimum of £1500.00 to replace and fit.
My D3 now has 157,000 on a 2005 year. The car has been absolutely brilliant for the past 6 years with no major mechanical problems.
Do I get the turbo done or trade for a newer D3 or D4??? Open question!!!!
If I go for the turbo change, how much is the best to expect to change and Fit??

I'd ask them what the warranty is and if it'll take you forward for the next year or two, if so, I'd take it. If that's the first major hiccup then .... Brilliant money well spent.

Took my Disco3 to Broadfields Garage in Dunmow earlier this week and more than pleased to learn the Turbo is not leaking and there are no major issues with loss of oil either.
So I am happy to have had a good second opinion.

Also Broadfields can replace the turbo without the need of taking the body off and this saves alot of time and money. So good news all round.

I'm reading a lot of positive stuff about Broadfields. Mine is going in for open hear surgery (crossover pipe) in just over a week.
