Change of model
Has anybody had to change model with an IID tool ie, change from say a Disco to a FFRR? Is that £60.00 for an extra VIN or is there another charge for changing model? I've had a look on their website and the only changes it lists are change of owner £25.00 or additional VIN £60.00 Cheers Ian

Transfer from a sold car to a new one is free for the original owner of the tool. Send me a mail and I will give you a hand...http://www.gap-diagnostic.com/

Pat is helping me change my IIDTool BT used for my old D4 to the new D5. It seems to be quite an easy process, I just have the unlock stage left to do.

Thanks Pat!

I recently changed from a 2010 D4 to a 2016 D4, and Pat at GAP did the change on the BT IID FOC. What’s more, the emails that I sent were replied to in an instant!
Brilliant service GAP!!

I’m thinking about getting one of these iid tools. Can say 3 people chip in and then add an extra vin for the 2 other people? I have a friend that has a disco and also his dad has a vogue so it would be good to split the price and just all use the same tool.

IIRC you just go through the normal unlock procedure. I do not remember doing anything special when I changed from Defender to D4
