Central locking has gone crazy!

Hi all,
my 2010 D4 is having a bit of a fit at the moment and can't decide whether to lock itself or not. I press key fob and you hear the doors lock......except the drivers door and the mirrors don't go in. Try clicking lock again and you get the "beep beep" you get when you try lock and door isn't closed properly! Yet all he doors and boot are closed properly!
I then open front drivers door and alarm goes off!
On the odd occasion it does all work as normal (rarely).
All I can do is get out, open back door and reach through to manually push in drivers door handle to lock it and then use key fob to lock rest of car!
Sound familiar?!

2 done

I had two done under warranty on a 2009 D4 recently at a local dealer. It would have cost £660 for the two (they inadvertently forgot it was under warranty and rang me with the bill)

Shocked

A door latch is around £90 or so,last time I checked. Labour is around 1-1.5 hours (ish)

Eeek - £90 now, LR part prices reach for the stars.

When I did mine it cost about £40 and took me an hour getting nowhere trying to fit it on the drive. It took the wife with her slender hands less than 30 seconds.

She still gloats about it to this day.
