CD's continuously loop

Have been meaning to check/ask this for a while.

I mostly listen to the radio, however whilst I do, the CD's appear to be merrily playing and moving along 'In the background'.

Ideally when I select CD it will take me back to where I stopped listening, but alas no, its lucky dip as they are on a continious loop !

Is this anything to do with the 2nd row controls ?

Can i stop it ?

Thanks.
 Finally got one......Silver HSE.

It could be one of the rear controls. Have you left a set of headphones plugged in? if so then it will continue to run. One of the controls could be shorted out, making the system 'think' a set of 'phones is plugged in.

The earliest cars had a problem with the cd running constantly, there is a Technical Service Bulletin that your dealer should have which upgrades the Infotainment system to stop this happening.

The Blue Pearl used to suffer from this problem. It went in and got sorted, so yes there is a fix Thumbs Up

Quote:
CD continues to run/change disc even though cabin audio is listening to another audio source.

Same source lockout issue where one or more of the headphone sockets are still set to CD even though there are no headphones attached.

Complete a battery disconnect/hard reset then upload latest software to IHU/HLDF/Amp. (This will introduce a fix which sets the headphone sockets inputs to Aux on each ignition cycle and stops the CD running in the back ground. However, if CD is selected by any one or more of the headphone sockets and not selected back during that ignition on period the CD will continue until ignition is cycled again.)

This is an extract from TSB No. LA415-003 dated 17 August 2005. Goto your dealer and ask him to look at it. It took my dealer 2 attempts to do this, but it was the first one they had done.

Yes, if anyone's playing with the rear audio controls or it thinks they are on, then the CD's will play quite happily when youi are not listening to them Confused

Yoiu've got the HSE, so you should be able to use the voice command of 'rear entertainment off' at least I think that's the command.
