CCF Written but changes not applying?

Hi All

I've tried making changes to my CCF to enable the 3 blink indicators, and disable the key in ignition reminder.

Even though reading from the car shows them as set appropriately, they still aren't working.

Am I missing something?

Thanks

Thomas

Did you update the BCM first? ISTR that this needs to be done Before applying other changes... those with more knowledge will confirm..

I haven't done any updates. Not sure if I could do that or not with IIDtool. There are a number of ECUs with updates outstanding.

Ahhh that answers one thing.

Why is there an option in the CCF for it then if it can't be disabled?

I think ccf files are shared between different models of car, so some settings may not be relevant to a Discovery, but might be workable on a Range Rover for example.

Saves money by having one basic file for the developers to work with.

That’s my guess anyway!

Tbh, i do not see the problem....

Just shut the door, or take the key out....

When do you need to have the key in and the door open continuously?

Maybe when working on the motor, but then again, there is a work arround 8)
 Best regards
