Carrs Truro
I have to say a big thank you to Carrs Land Rover, as I was a little miffed to find that 14 weeks after picking up my used 2010 D4 from them it was in this week for a new brake caliper, front discs and pads.
Just collected the car and no charge, I wouldn't have even minded paying part of the bill, given I get the benefit of the new parts.
I certainly can't argue with service like that and all is once more right in my little Land Rover world!

assume you bought with 12 months warranty...so they only did wat contracted to do;
our problem was they wouldn't do warranty work they should have done and were for ever trying to fob us off
ended up going to another dealer for second opinion.and to sort out the problems
it didn't help we are 50 miles from them

galwaygreen, you are indeed correct, they are rubbish and I shall be doing my best to avoid visiting them again, as they seem to think it is perfectly acceptable to go back on a deal.

It seems that rather than saying, your car will be outside for you in a minute and there is no charge, what they actually should have said was, there is no one here to agree the bill and we will contact you tomorrow.
So I have been contacted today for £400, which had I have been told yesterday I would have been happy with (£180 saving) but to go from thinking it was free to now having a bill means I'm not best pleased with them.
The invoice also doesn't match the supposed work carried out.

There was a quote, just an issue over who was paying. Long story (as the often are), but there you go I shall put it down to the joys of Land Rover ownership.

I was very happy with the buying process (used) and I found the salesman, Rory O'Keeffe, really helpful, but the service department (in my opinion) is rubbish.
In addition to the problem mentioned here, they took 6 goes to fix the electrics on the towbar (they fitted them for me), there are also various unresolved problems, partly now because I have lost interest in the car and can't be bothered to take it back.
It is booked in for its 7 year service in a few weeks, even though it's not due on time or mileage but the service history is a mess due to me being owner number 3 (it's a long story).
Two other members had problems, Red Merle, ordered a red one with almond interior, but they ordered a black interior and someone else they ordered that with the wrong wheels.
So not really a glowing picture!Andy

I’ve not had a good time with them either - had some work booked for my 110 when they were Riders and had to take it back 3 times due to them nit having the parts in or having to get some one in to do something special ... seems that the same people are there the same as when as Riders ...
However can recommend Rodger Young in Saltash 100% - have never had an issue with them and have used them a lot.
