Carrs have changed a lot in the last 6 months. For the better.
I have been a customer of theirs continuously since 2001, and have always found them able to resolve anything & everything. Sometimes it takes a little persuasion & patience to get past the LR procedures & arrive at the solutions, but in fairness to them, they have always come through in the end.
Back in the early days of "Riders" they were a smaller business with a "family" feel, that looked after their customers.
In more recent times under the ownership of Helston Garages, through the integration of the Jaguar business into the site, they struggled to cope with the volume of servicing work, evident in the negative feedback on here last year.
Since then they have a new Head of Business, who I have to say, is more focused on customer service, and the majority of comments that I hear now sway towards the positive. Communication is certainly better - dedicated reception to actually answer the phone! They still seem to have issues with meeting the servicing demand, but are expanding their facilities at a rapid rate (additional facilities further on down the ind est). Response time now seems reasonable to me?
The sales dept remains great - Rory is a pleasure to deal with.
I still wouldn't want to be paying the repair bills of an older car through them though!
In short, I still view Carrs positively, despite currently having a few issues with the new D4, and feel that they are working positively towards a solution - unlike LR Customer Services. Long succession of Disco's since 2001...
SIII Lightweight - neglected & rusting. Bulkhead, A panels, vent panel & outriggers now disintegrated - Next years project!

However can recommend Rodger Young in Saltash 100% - have never had an issue with them and have used them a lot.
I'm glad that you have had good experience with Roger Young's.
I used to hold Roger Young in very high regard, being especially impressed with their service and (unfortunately) their body shop. Unfortunately, again, they let me down with a warranty repair and were unbelievably unhelpful when I decided to upgrade to a newer LR instead of living with the issue. Over the following 2 years, it cost them a 40,000 mile a year service customer, the sale of 2 near new FL2's and a new D4 HSE. 2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2
2015 - 2017: 2 x D4
2017 to date: FFRR SDV8
2023 to date: 2 x FL2 as “second” cars 🙄
2021 to date: Hinckley built ‘14 Triumph Trophy 1200
2022 to date: Hinckley built ‘14 Triumph Trophy 1200 & sidecar!
(One of only two known to exist in the world!)

Thanks, the picture is encouraging, although in truth, I'd just be buying a new car from them and heading off home. Would happen to be at the end of the earth, on the other hand, I've never been to Cornwall.
