Cargo Tie-down Points

The little folding cargo tie-down points in the back of the D3 are not exactly heavy duty. I seem to remember that someone on the forum replaced them with 4 more serious items.

Having searched the forum to death, with no luck, has anyone got an idea on a good way of replacing the existing lashing points?

How heavy duty do you need them to be?

Strong enough to use ratchet lashing straps. I wanted to strap down a big lump of metal the other day - the existing lashing eyes don't look like they could take much strain.

Why PM non stick nick??

I've used 550kg rated ratchet straps on them many times...and as hard as they will tighten...no problems Wink

Nick's old set-up looks very good. Perhaps a shade of overkill for my use, but the obvious quality has its attractions too.

If they are easy to fit and remove they look a good deal at £40.
