while we're on the subject, and apologies if it's obvious, but any top tips for using a pressure washer on the D3? I never used it on my other car (Alfa 147) as handwashing is the Gold Standard for cleaning cars, along with a gentle garden hosing down, but the D3 is (a) muddier and (b) bigger so PW seems the way ahead rather than worrying too much about the Two Bucket Method, etc etc.
Anywhere I should know not to spray that might not be obvious (I did tell daughter No 2 that I wouldn't be too chuffed if she pressure washed from short distance throguh the radiator grill, for example....)
THanks

Wash mine once a month, not that thorough but just to get brake dust off the alloys and salt off the bodywork, gotta be worth keeping up to for the small effort involved (or fiver for a 'hand-job' )2020 BMW X1 18d XDrive X-Line Auto

Oh prolly two months ago. Been too bl@@dy cold. I took my D2 to the local car wash years ago during sub freezing temperatures and when I got it home I noticed it was covered with light scratches. After the cars run through the car wash they hand dry them with towels. it was so cold that the towels would freeze and the ice crystals scratched my car.
They did polish out but I no longer go to the car wash when the temps is below freezing.2000 Discovery 2 Kent Green (totaled) R.I.P.

I have peeled paint off the front grill with a pressure washer, stay away from the plastic bits at close range, I was being lazy with bug carcasses and bitumen

I guess some power washers are a lot more powerful than others - I've just got a small basic Karcher

I also wash mine once a week at least. Got back from a 300mile trip over Christmas and washed it in the dark with hot water to melt the ice/snow. I think they call it OCD (obsessive compulsive dissorder) but I did get £2000.00 over book value recently for my 04 Series 2 Disco.
