will depend if you want regular cover or off road cover...offroad cover will be a little more difficult to find at sensible prices...comparison sites probable wont have offroad cover but you will get a cheap regular cover...if you thought landrover insurance would do offroad cover..you will have a surprise..
prices are all over the shop.//best of luck

+1 for A-Plan from me.
It's cheaper than my renewal was and that includes a declared remap and basic off-road cover

+2 for A-plan, always reasonable and you get to speak to a real person.
They weren't the absolute cheapest but close enough for me to chose
them over a no name insurer due to recommendations on here.

Another vote for A-Plan, they also insure our houses and were really helpful with a building claim on one which was lucky, as the actual insurer AXA were rubbish and it was A-Plan that sorted out getting someone for an emergency repair.Andy

NFU. ISTR & £830 or so but that's insuring both the D3 (with mods) and the D4 (standard).

I have my Defender insured with A Plan as they were able to source the policy that I needed, so I decided to give them a try on my new D4 and because it doesn't have a tracker fitted they quoted £1400 My renewal with Churchill is £404 Cheers Ian

I used A plan for my imprezas for.years untill some really bad stories appeared about them not paying out.luckilly i never needed to claim.. Should be ok aslong as the policy isnt under written by markerstudy. A quick search brings up alot of issues.
