The revised manual on teh GTR site clearly states that the off-road screen will only show RDPN for automatic cars.

DiscoMad - I think you have picked up on a very relevant point - it is the REVISED manual! I'm sure many of us in business wish we could just alter our specification with our customers/clients after the event to suit the goods/services we have actually provided

I think the issue here is honesty. If Land Rover would actually own up to a mistake, either in the design, manufacture, or documentation, and told everyone why they cannot/will not resolve a descrepancy or issue, then they may get a more sympathetic response from customers.
The secrecy and flim-flam that we get from all points of contact does nothing more than inflame the situation. Its high time that someone high up in Ford PAG gave some honest answers to some relativly minor issues.

Family Man - can you clarify? - which screen? and what exactly now shows up & when? Thanks!
The LCD display on the right of the dials shows what gear you have selected. Pre-upgrade I'd get 1st,3rd and maybe 6th showing up....post upgrade they all do, apparently the handbrake would attempt to activate in gear, usually 4th, hence the amber failure light would come on while driving. 2005 TDV6 SE Silver/Black Manual + Alpine
