Can't reset misfueling device
Hi All, I wanted to double check my misfuelling device worked today so I inserted an unleaded pump into the filler and it did trip, but guess what I can't reset it!
I have been outside trying for the last 30 minutes and followed some tips on here but whatever I do it just stays closed. Thankfully I have 3/4 tank of diesel to get me to the dealer if need be but I was hoping some of you guys may have some tips?
Thanks

When I went on a LRE day, they basically just dropped it into the neck of the filler and then slowly pulled it out. I think it worked on the second or third go.Andy

You might like to tell the dealer you triggered it accidentally "can you help please"?
Rather than "look what I did on purpose and now it's broken"?

It is awkward , check the tool is correct way around , it took me 4 or 5 goes when enterprise gave me a D4 after a LRA call out, the previous driver had triggered it. I'm sure yours will work it needs a sharp tug once hooked

On a D4 I have found mine either in the glove box or the rear cubby box where the jack is, your profile says you have a D3, they weren't fitted to a D3 Cheers Ian
