[FIXED] - Cannot Pair Bluetooth Phones

edit: [NOW FIXED]

Hi all,
My first post after purchasing a 2012 D4 HSE on the weekend. I have been lurking on the forum for sometime Very Happy
I cannot connect a phone to Bluetooth. I have tried my OnePlus 3 and wife's Samsung S7.

The Disco says to enter a PIN of your choice, I have also tried 2121, 0000 & 1234.
Phones are saying cannot connect because of incorrect PIN or Passkey.

Is it possibly the previous owner has set a PIN which is now saved on the car?

Any advice is much appreciated. Many thanks,
Louis

There are no phones paired on the system.
The screen only shows a Pair New button, I assume the list of paired phones appears below that.

Can you try from the phone, look for bluetooth devices then select "Land Rover" or whatever the car bluetooth is called?

Yea I have tried that.
Car car cannot actually find any phone if I try to use Vehicle to Device.
So I have to use Device to Vehicle.

Does "LandRover" appear in your phone's bluetooth list? If so press connect.
 2003 D2a Auto TD5 good Landy gone
2015 D4 probably the most amazing yet, why get a RR?

I don't believe this is a phone problem.
Both phones can find the Car on bluetooth search.
The car says to enter a PIN of your choice on the phone to connect.
We do this and always get 'PIN is not correct' response on phone.

FamousFive meant hard reset of the vehicle not phones, see in the wiki pages of this forum. Or here.

Also probably worth checking whether your phone is compatible with your Discovery. More recent phones may not be compatible.

You'll need to cut and paste the link.

That website is seriously out of date, no point looking at it.

Try "device to car" and/or "car to device" on the Landrover screen

Both our phones are apparently compatible.

I have tried both Vehicle to Device (vehicle never finds a device) and Device to Vehicle.

I will try Hard Reset of car and see how that goes.
Can someone let me know what electronic gizmos the Hard Reset affects? I.E will we have to re-programme memory seats, radio stations etc?
TIA

Hard reset, you will need to reprogram the time on the clock and probably the one shot window closing.
