Hello,
Something I am not getting used to on my Discovery is the start&stop: it always stops the vehicle when I do not want it like when maneuvering or when stopping at a crossing. So, most of the time I disable it via the switch, but it is attention consuming and I do not always think about it. Plus I hate having the caution light always ON just in my sight of view. Therefore, I was wondering if anybody would know if I could disable it permanently and easily, like maybe by removing a plug or a fuse (I also want to get rid of the caution light).
Thanks for your help,
Christophe

i'd be interested in the same - I doubt that the stop/start saves much (if anything) in fuel in real world driving and it irritates me everytime I forget to turn it off....
I had heard somewhere that you can disconnect the stop/start battery to disable it but not sure if you get the warning light when you do that, Also Gone : MY14 D4 SDV6 HSE : Barolo Black + Almond

My wife had LR assist out during the winter when she got frozen out of her Evoque, I got talking to the technician and asked if there was any way the stop/start could be disabled, he told me there wasnt but if he had a pound for each time he was asked he'd be a rich man ! There are 10 types of people in this world ~ those that understand binary and those that don't.

Give it a go Martin. You know it makes sense. Never take life too seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.

I had my LR dealer disconnect the additional battery on my 2015 D4 to cansel the start/stop.
It appeared to work at first, of course the caution light was enoyingly always on.
But at the next service the dealer re-connected the battery because the car had stored several diagnostic codes. So now it is back on as it was, and I still get very annoyed by this function.
