What can you turn off? Thinking of a hybrid
So I am fairly new to a DISCO 3 but can't certainly see the pros.
Can some one explain how much of the system you can turn off with the iid tool?
I am thinking of using a D3 chassis and engine then making a old school body.
I would like to keep the engine, gearbox, suspension, brakes and all off-road aids.
Do you think this would be possible?
Has anyone done this before?
Links would be great to any build threads
.cheers stu

Sounds like you want to keep the bad bits lol.
Not sure exactly what you want rid of.
But you need to keep the instrument cluster and fusesbox behind glovebox

The running gear is great in the d3 but the body is way to heavy and wide. So like the idea of getting rid of most of the weight and extras that are not need to fabricate a series looking body.
I would need to loose windows, heater, stereo this like this. Would try and keep as much plug and play as possible.
Not everyone's taste but will then be used as it should.

Other than removing door mirrors and maybe door handles I wouldn't know how to make it narrower. Or sell it and get a Defender.2016 D4 TDV6 Corris Grey

Discomike is spot on.
Around my area lots of very tight tracks you can't get down in a disco but could in a defender.
Could go and buy a defender but they are not as capable plus the seating position is .
Plus it would be a fun task to get it to work and make the body

Seriously though, I'd think removing as much interior trim as possible would help the weight, not sure how much narrower you'd get with the limitations of chassis width.
If you do anything, we want photos D4 XS, gone, much loved, never forgotten

Will do a build thread if it comes off.
First I n3ed to get my 80 series back on the road and make some space.
I would need at least 3 spaces to get this build under way
