Camping Cookers

Hi all.

Does anyone have any experience with either of these camping Cookers?

or
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/111080490486?ssP...1423.l2649

It looks like we’ll maybe do another couple of years of camping before upgrading to a Tintent, and these look like great pieces of kit that would give better facilities than our current two burner hob. Having an oven would be very nice.
Carrying them around isn’t an issue as when Camping we usually have the boat on the back as a huge trailer.

Or does anyone have any other suggestions for something similar?

Thanks

Nasher.

What about keeping your 2 burner stove & invest in a Cobb cooker ?
Few of the lads have them & they are a flexible piece of kit.
I have a Coleman dual fuel twin burner stove. These are very good as I also have the lanterns that also run on unleaded fuel. Very efficient & only need to carry a little can of unleaded.
When away in the tintent I use my caddac which is great.
All depends on if you need the oven, if so look at the Cobb.
Only own thoughts.
Thumbs Up

Doesn't the coleman also run on diesel? I've always found diesel cookers to be superb on long (remote) trips. After all, you're never going to run out of fuel with a Disco to hand (assuming you haven't run out of fuel, and even then you've still got about 5 + litres of fuel available to you once the car won't start... Rolling Eyes )

There's a knack to getting diesel cookers going, but armed with a bit of burning paste they're amazing albeit only for boiling stuff, rather than baking/ovens, etc.

Just saves carrying petrol around, which I don't like doing.

Camping with an Oven should be upgraded to Glamping,

Rolling Eyes

It looks like a great bit of Kit, Handy for Pies Whistle
I've got a bit of an oversion to naked flames in a Tent after seeing half a dozen RMP's burning to death in Norway ! so i tend to stick to these new fangled LED's, for lighting i mean not for cooking so i dont carry Tilley Lamps and fuel.
I've spent a week Camping in Cornwall this year and i cant see me buying a Tin Tent any time soon so i need to look at buying something more substantial than Peak Stoves, Jet-Boils etc as my Mrs & Nipper quite enjoyed it
Thumbs Up

My experience Of using Military Diesel stoves is poor, Smelly and under powered not producing enough heat.

Oh don't worry, we definitely 'Glamp'.

Plugging into the Tintent electrics gives us a good sized fridge, fluorescent tube lighting, Electric Kettle etc, plus a fan heater to take the chill off when required.

We cook outside under an awning, not inside, and an oven is all we're really missing.

The tent starts life as a Montana 6, but we add a tunnel and an awning to give loads of indoor space and a large outdoor covered area.

This is home for a couple of weeks.
