I removed the sensor and cleaned it with a cotton bud and alcohol. It was quite dirty.

When I the sensor out I blew compressed air down the tube.

I will post again in a few days with a status update.

On the D4, lever out the ignition button disconnecting the electrical plug, lever up the flat trim in front of the screen, remove the 2 Torx screws. Lever out the chrome surround around the control panel below the screen, and the chrome trim around the temperature knobs. Then there is one more black trim around this control panel.

When I say lever up / out etc, do this gently! I used plastic trim removal levers.

Remove the lower panel with the vent below the steering wheel. This has clips and the top and two tongues along the bottom, so pull
it towards the seat at the top. Then you should be able to pull the panel off. It comes complete with the vent. Pull it sharply from the bottom, then disengage it at the top just above vent.

Then you will be able to access the temp sensor.

did you get it to work?

I tryede the fix but still reads 6-8 degrees wrong 🤯
Thourgt about extending the senscor with some wire so it will be closer to where the intake is, to see if this will help

The fix in the technical bulletin had already been applied to my car. But the foam seemed to be permanently squashed and I thought it migh not be working correctly. I added some more foam, may have made a slight difference.

People have tried and failed to solve this. See thread below.

https://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic132371.html

Yet to hear of anyone solving it. I treat the numbers on my temperature setting dials as ' comfort numbers'. Like the numbers on a radiator thermostatic valve. They bear no relationship to actual temperatures in the car. If it's cold and we're on a long journey at faster speeds ( when I notice the lack of heat most), we'll wind it up to high twenties.

the problem er see for just dialing up the temp is that it then will just start blowing more cold air out to meet the etc. 23 degrees

Are you thinking of the 'auto' setting ? I never use that because of this issue.

Many have tried. There was a LR fix for this but people reported marginal or no improvement.
Best treat the numbers on your temp dials as comfort numbers and dial up to when you feel comfortable.
