well done.

May the wires go via a connector in the front wheel arch (left)

There is also a connect near the rear wheel arch.

This should help narrow down where the fault is.

THat rear one is known to have problems.

The wiring diagram only suggests 1 connector

Thanks Pete K!

At this point I'm thinking of tapping into the Black/Purple Wire before the Rear Wheel Arch Connector and running that wire forward to the cabin and splice back into the wire before the ECU Connector (C0867) using either T-Tap or IDC (See Photo) splicers.

Google tells me the .5mm (?) Wire = 24 Gauge.

Are you telling me there's another undocumented connector in the Front Wheel Arch and not shown on this diagram?

Them things are telephone wires
I think

Not if it’s undocumented.
There are connectors though.
Not sure of the route.

Are you trying to guilt me into breaking out the Soldering Iron?
It's be a while!
I'm thinking Heat Shrink Crimp Connectors if I can find some in 24 Gauge.
And yes on THIS side of the Pond 24 Gauge is Telephone Wire.
I might go a little thicker for my patch cable.
It's probably about 8 ft of wire or less?

On a positive note I'm accumulating lots of odds and ends for my emergency repair kit!

Them posters are about right lol

Im sure you can join the wires somehow.

We use crimps or solder.

It's FIXED!!!!

So here's what I did:

After finding NO continuity from the Rear Electrical Block (C0377/C0391) Black/Purple Wire and the Electrical Connector to the EAS ECU (C0867) I used the following T-Tap kit from Amazon to "JUMP" new wire.

120 PCS T-Tap Wire Electrical Splice Connectors,
SIM&NAT Nylon Fully Insulated Male Spade
Quick Disconnects Assortment

[/url]

Now here's the odd part. The Electric Schematic for the LR3 shows a Black/Purple wire running to Pin #11 in the ECU Connector. In MY LR3 this wire is actually Brown/Black. I guessed this was the correct wire as Pins 1 & 2 are for the LEFT Rear Valve Block and Pins 11 & 12 are for the Right Rear Valve Block. There is a Black/Purple Wire going to the ECU at Pin 14, but this is NOT the correct one for the Right Rear Valve Block. That Black/Purple wire actually goes the the Centre Control Switch as per the following diagram:

I am quite pleased that I was able to repair this fault without taking it to the shop.
I was able to trouble shoot this issue with an iCarsoft LR/Jag Vehicle Diagnostic Tool i930
(Our other car is a 2010 Jaguar XF)
With what I saved in SHOP LABOR, I may have to upgrade to a Gap iiD BT!?

And finally... THANK YOU PETE K (and others) for you help and encouragement!

You american's don't hang around in fixing these LR suspension issues Wink

Maybe the time difference helps

P.S Wiring diagrams aren't great.

But its not unknown for colours to vary by year on all makes

.5mm/18 Gauge Wire for the permanent fix comes from Amazon tomorrow.
I have a temporary wire running through the rear hatch up the front cabin.
My plan is to run the spliced wire back to the Trailer Wiring and enter the Boot behind the Left Tail Light.
From there running to the Front Cabin is easy.
Unless someone has a better idea?

Hello all sorry to dig up a old thread on my first post, but does anyone know where the air suspension control unit is on a Right and drive discovery 3? Is it behind the fuse box?

Yup. As pete says. Remove lower panel, get down by the pedals and it's up behind the dash on the right hand side.

Saw this photo, and isn’t that a break in the insulation right there?
