Really very well done.
The sale of goods act is a catch all piece of legislation that protects buyer.
Protects from unknowing & unscrupulous sellers - & there are plenty about
Insulates you from goods new or not new...
- Safe for use
- Fit for purpose.
- Faulty
- Broken
A vehicle is a complex piece of kit with all manner of possibilities.
I just wish that national legislation here worked like other countries, as regards second hand cars.
I bought a SAAB 900 in New Zealand....second hand, a one owner vehicle....it had the GM straight Vee six cylinder 2.5 litre engine. Actually a beautiful piece of kit.
By law I got a 12 month warranty with masses of protection as regards parts, labour, rights etc.
A few bits needed doing. All done.
I bought the car from Continental Cars that are the SAAB main importer & dealer there.
SAAB are well suppoterted there by them.
All used cars sold there have a minimum of a one month warranty.
All cars must have the WOF (warranty of fitness....which is every six months anyway) at a six month level when you collect your car.
The situation here is radically different that the buyer takes all the risks.
And you have to fight to get what's rightfully yours in the first place. BREXIT - done properly.
Right now ...We need Government - not Politics
Save the Dipstick Flagbearer-keep it simple, less likely to fail campaign-agenda items:Starting Handles, Acetylene Lamps.
Founder: Dipsticks-R-Us Inc
D3 HSE-perfectly formed, passenger friendly...has real DIPSTICK
Jag XK-but sadly no DIPSTICK...HUGE design fault
FL2 has DIPSTICK..."real comfort in rear seats"
VW Golf wondermobile (?)..has real DIPSTICK
Morris Minor..original DIPSTICK technology..and a real KEY.
