It says something about the brilliance of the original design that it's so obvious what it is, when we can see so little above the water!

Does a Discovery become a vessel when at 'sea'
Ironic that the shark fin aerial is the about the only thing above water Cheers Ian

Watched a FFRR reversing with trailer to remove a boat from water in Hopeman(Morayshire) harbour in May. After an altercation with another car driver over moving his car for access to the slipway they nearly came to blows. The language was choice. I had to get SWMBO to translate for me. When the FFRR driver then reversed, he and his mate in the boat made a right pig's ear of it trying to position the trailer and boat to match up. Any further reversing would have taken the car into the sandy harbour bottom. Still, an entertaining half hour. My D4 was stood down. I had hoped to pick up a few quid for a rescue. 2014 MY Discovery XS Indus Silver. Sadly gone. Second last LR of forty eight years continuous ownership.

Now I'm no expert boat launcher, but there seems to be quite a few incidents happening where people in 4x4 vehicles who think they can launch a boat get into trouble.
Apparently, a chap who had never launched his boat before insisted on doing it himself with his own vehicle, despite an offer of the local boat launcher to put it in for him. He managed to over turn the boat on the slipway, spilling the contents of the fuel tank into the harbour.
