Now I'm no expert boat launcher, but there seems to be quite a few incidents happening where people in 4x4 vehicles who think they can launch a boat get into trouble.
Apparently, a chap who had never launched his boat before insisted on doing it himself with his own vehicle, despite an offer of the local boat launcher to put it in for him. He managed to over turn the boat on the slipway, spilling the contents of the fuel tank into the harbour.
I was in the pub that night and his name was mud!
Many summers spent carrying kit down both of those slipways....fair to say they are both very steep...spent all of my youth carrying wet kit and fish up and down. Great place....!!

Gorgeous place ....except it's full of tourists! Lol!

I like the way it was lifted very slowly out of the water. Presumably to allow some of the water out, otherwise a 2.7 ton car would weigh 5 tons!
Still, it didn't all come out did it! Wet feet Richard

I doubt it will pass it's MOT when it's due next month
Mind you didn't Jeremy Clarkson do something similar to this with a Toyota and when it was drained it started after a few presses of the starter ?

Probably had a few crabs or lobsters in it too !!
I noticed the guy on the quay picking bags and stuff up that must have washed out of it when it was lifted as I noticed the drivers window was fully open.
It looked as if the back door bent slightly too when he tried to open it.
I got the impression they were treating it like practice ... the thing had a towbar on so surely it could've been pulled back up the slope it went down in the first place ?
