Bringing up a fault code

Is there any way to get a fault code to show up ...pref one that will clear its self or one that wont spoil the operation of the car .(hopefully getting serviced on friday ..so if i cant clear it ..hopefully they will)

I have some OBD2 software that im trying .. need to test the engine code part

If only you had a 2007MY, I'd suggest fitting EGR blanking plates Whistle That causes quite a collection.
Other than that, you could jetwash behind the battery? Whistle Maybe Not!

Could you just remove the temperature thermistor from the air intake top and front of the engine? Wouldn't this let enough air in to make the Air mass sensor to report too low a flow for the RPM? Only problem is that I'm guessing that would be enough, though loosening the jubilee on the intake hose should do it? I can't imagine this would harm the engine as spilt turbo hoses are not uncommon.

Transgenic tomato anyone?

How does fitting the plates cause fault codes? If the valves are faulty then fair enough, but the engine doesn't know and can't sense if the blanks are fitted or not. It will only register a fault if the valve doesn't move as demanded by the ECM - caused by any number of problems with the valve itself, not the fact that a blank is fitted. There's no sensing of EGR gas flow, just valve position.

Warranty issues on a 2007 is another thing of course Thumbs Up
