Bridgestone Dueller 255x55 R19

Tyres in the Middle East don't last long - combined effects of heat, UV and tread/sidewall damage through plenty of off-roading.

Have just replaced original Goodyears due to tread and sidewall damage after 36,00O km, but had chocie severely limited to what dealers had in stock. Michelin, Pirelli, Goodyear or Brisgestone were choices in the size with wildly varying prices.

Settled on Bridgestone Dueller rated at 111 load rating, V speed rating. On road they are quiet and seem better than the Goodyears - so far.

Does anyone out have any experience of their perfromance off-road?

I am just trying to find 19 inch tyres for my LR3 in Dubai. Did you get no options from BFG or Cooper? Also do you have a pic of the tyres mentioned? Are they any good on the sand?

JQ - Haven't had a chance to play in the sand with them yet. Tread pattern looks quite good for both sand and gravel. Take a look at www.bridgestone-mea.com/products_mideast_dueler.aspx and www.bridgestone-mea.com/products_mideast_readtyre.aspx 1st one shows the actual tread pattern.

Didn't find a distributor here for BFG or Cooper, but so far am well pleased with the Dueler on blacktop and gravel.

I paid RO90 per tyre, (UAE Dhiram 840).

Thanks

Thanks Habibi, just completed a four day trip through the Wahiba Sands on my original Good Years. They are finished! It was the trip up to the Salmah Plateau that finished them off!

Well guys, I can report the Bridgestone Duellers are great in both sand and gravel and top-whack on tarmac. Good comfortable ride, almost no detectable tyre noise. Haven't been able to try them in the wet yet though!!
