Breakdown Cover & European Cover incl Caravan
Hmmm...
Just been reviewing options for travelling with Caravan to Europe and general UK Breakdown.
Turns out my insurance with NFU also includes basic breakdown cover, and upgrading it to the full whack is actually way less for the year than the AA's monthly premium!!! Kicking myself for not looking sooner.
European cover is straightforward and trailers/caravans are treated as part of the car - the premium also ended up being included with the top whack cover for free. All seems way simpler than the AA.
All provided by the RAC (in the UK) so hopefully should be just fine. European cover works just like UK cover...
Asked a bit about repatriation (thanks DSL!) when abroad... lots of flexibility. They'll cover all sorts of costs to keep you with the car for extra days or cover you returning to get it.
Seems infinitely better and simpler than the AA side of things

I have found the NFU to be extremely good, providing you are covered the payout is fair, quick and reliable. You are a member and they do not want to lose you, there are others that can have cheaper premiums, but it's what happens when you need them most and make a claim.It can when others can't,
