brakes locked on after master cylinder change
had very poor brakes when bought vehicle. Changed discs and pads but still very soft pedal. So I changed master cylinder and bled the brakes - traditional method via n/s/r bleed valve. Brake pedal slowly firmed up until no air coming out. But the brakes are very nearly locked on. It's as if they are not releasing. Any ideas or advice will be very welcome. Thank you.
Did you make sure the push rod is central in the master cylinder and servo when fitted. I Once changed a RRS one and it had an adjustable rod in it, I had to shorten the length of the rod a bit to get the brakes off.
I can't remember if the D3 rod is the same. Did you fit a OEM Master Cylinder.

Hi Flack.
Thank you for replying.
Yes it's OEM. But I never thought to check the rod length. Not come across that before. How did you determine the correct length? Ive got the original unit still so I can check against that if needs be.
When I refitted the master cylinder I noticed the pedal was rock hard, so I took off the m/c again and noticed that the rod was adjustable, so I just shortened the rod until it was ok.
