Brakes improvement

I would like to improve braking distance on my D3. My front disc seem to be used. I have johsonrods and over sized STT Discoverer on 18" wheels which also seems not to help.

Any advices on aftermarket Discs and Pads that could enhance braking, or should I go to LR?

Thanks.

if you dont want to use wheels smaller than 18", then you can fit the D3 V8 front discs (just need the discs and caliper brackets), or if you stay with 19" wheels you can fit Brembos

Okay. Thanks for the info.

What about discs that also could go for 17" ?

only tdv6 discs fit inside a 17" rim - you could try some grooved and drilled aftermarket discs

Okay, I'll try to find that. I'd better go for grooved as they are sturdier than drilled ones.

EBC discs and pads are probably around best at not too bad a cost, there are huge differences in prices though so do a good google search. Brembo may well be the best but check costs before committing to that, with STTs on would you really see that much of a difference going to the Brembo?

EBC are good. I had that on my first Corvette. Grooved with yellow pad.

From what I've read from those that know more on these thing, aren't grooved or drilled disks a no-no for vehicle used off the tarmac as the gravel/grit gets caught in these features and destroy the pads, disks or both. Would thought the car in question is going off road due to STTs fitted.

Yes it really does go offroad. So it'll be not grooved, not drilled discs. Thanks.
