Brakes
I am considering purchasing an LR3 but concerned about brake wear. My existing Series 2 Discovery has 70,000 km on the clock and from new every 10,000 km service it has required either front or rear pads and or discs to be replaced due to wear. How is it with the LR3?
Cheers

Brakes
Is that 25% of permissable wear, i.e. OK for 48,000 km?
Cheers

Not sure - I understood it to mean 25 % used - not sure at what percentage you would have to replace

Dubai,
You should get a bundled 5 year warranty and 5 year service contract if buying from Al Tayer (Dubai) or Premier Motors (Abu Dhabi) - the service contract covers everything less tyres and wipers.

Mines done 65K Km now. Brakes was replaced twice. 1st at 24K Km then at 60K Km service. Thus no real pattern!.

Hi Dune Disco
Yes I was planning to do that with Al Tayer. How is the LR3 in the sand dunes? Can it live with the Landcruiser or Nissan Patrol in the soft stuff?
