Check out Martin's link to the .pdf recall doc on page 1 of the thread. It's definitely recall work and my dealer did it no questions asked and nothing to pay.

Thank you -that's what I thought

Q045 (with a "zero", not an "O") was a TSB for fractured rotary coupling wires or something like that.
Strange that they say it is outstanding if you've had it done already - I'm sure this is quite an old TSB by now 2006 Discovery 3 TDV6 SE Auto Buckingham Blue

Hi all,
I had this problem happen 3 or 4 times.....in 2008/9, before the recall came out i talked to the workshop mgr who had a hard time believeing me, which i can understand...like it happens once in a purple moon ( even rarer than a blue moon)
One time it happened was when SWMBO went shopping and down the carpark ramp had to stop 2.7T with no servo....needless to say she was not impressed...although i was with her leg muscles
Anyway they swapped out a load of the brame system related to the servo...and no more problems
A few months later sept 09 got the recalo letter
Well worth getting this done if you are in the vin range

I had forgot to say when my better half went to collect our D3 from Stratstone in Hull on Monday I had asked if she would get them to complete the section of the service record for recall work. They argued the point stating it wasnt a recall.
Most odd as its clearly listed as a recall on the VOSA website, and another example of Stratstone Hull not knowing their from their elbow!

I had a call from my service manager to book mine in for this recall today.
They are going to do it with the MOT after Christmas.

Standards eh? Ours came back as filthy as it went in, better half found it abandoned on a mound of snow in the corner or the car park. And they insist on listing it by its original registration not its personal one.

Apologies for resurrecting an old post but having just registered with TOPix I have discovered there are two “Outstanding Campaigns†(Q045 & P017) for the Disco I am about to buy. Even though the Disco will have changed owner, am I correct in saying my local dealer is still obliged to carry out the recall work FOC?

The recall work has to be done FOC yes. Doesn't matter who owns it! I imported mine from Ireland and as soon as I started driving it the recall came out. My local LR dealer sorted it out FOC no questions asked. Dennis
