What the norm for replacement frequency?
About to have a 2 year service with 25K on the clock. Would not normally expect to be replacing pads at this mileage but from other posts and a mate's experience this seems to be happening.

25k is about right, especially on an auto. Some manage more, some less, its all down to individual driving style.

So does anyone know what is involved in replacing the pads? Is it a big job? Is there anywhere that I can get a workshop manual from for the D4 or is it just a case of a trip to the stealers?

I have done the rounds and got the service for close to £450.
What can I expect for the cost of pad replacements

Clubber, brake pads a piece of cake. Takes longer to get the wheel off!
Have a look at the link in my sig, works the same for d3 and d4 Bodsys Brake Bible

Bodsy, that is excellent, well done and thank you for taking the time to put it together.
I've got a feeling that my pads may need replacing soon even though I'd only had it 3 weeks. I'll have to get the wheels off so I can have a look and check.
Thanks for the pointer!
