Brake pads

Just had a call from the stealers saying that my D3 is due for a pad change - rough quote £250. I'd rather buy the pads and change them myself and have a few beers for that money.

The wife's run of with the Disco today, so I can't check the actual wear levels, but before I phone Nick for some pads, do the rears tend to wear as quick as the fronts on the Discos, or should I just order a set of fronts?

Si,
mine wore evenly, had a front sensor and a rear sensor activate within a hundred miles or so.Replaced both sets together.

If they didn't have the Disco how did they know? ESP? GSM pad-wear sensor? Shocked Very Happy
 Cheers

ESP.

No, seriously, they are basing it on mileage and they were quite low at first service. TBH, it does get driven pretty hard, and now at 24K, I had noticed the fronts were getting due. Rather do it now than have to fag about replacing sensors if they go.

The Mini's in for service today, they (Sytners) called earlier to say it needs discs and pads, at a cost of £400!! Yeah, right, would you like to apply some copperslip to my @rse too?

I'll pass if it's all the same with you Si. Shocked
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
