Brake pad change yellow indicator is showing

Hi,

Just this weekend the indicator (yellow) started to illiminate for worn brake pads. How long can I drive before it is completely worn down?

I've got 2 weeks of lots of driving ahead of me, only next weekend to change the pads, if it cant wait another 1500km or so.

Car just turned 52.000km

Change them there is really not much left when the light is on, I think 1500km would be a risk.

Hi,

Thanks for such a quick reply!

Yeah, I was afraid of that! I'm looking at the different options from Famousfour do you know if the EBC pads is a straight fit from the original ones and any better? looking at changing the disks to EBC when they are worn later.

I suppose a full brembo conversion is quite expensive!?

Often drive around with a trailer and big loads in the car so would be good with some more agressive brakes.

I have only used original pads, but they are easy to fit. I think with the Brembo you also need 19" rims, but I may be wrong.

Worth doing the epb adjustment at the same time.

My disco have 22" shoes so that should be fine. Very Happy 19's in winter.

what is epb adjustment? Something I can do myself?

The EPB is the electronic hand brake. You can adjust this yourself, I will see if it is possible to get some instructions posted up.
