Brake lights on when turn head lights on

Hi guys looking for some help. Recently bought a 2005 Disco3. Drives amazing during the day but in the evening when I have to turn the lights on I have an issue with the brake lights staying on all the time while the headlights are on. Any advice on how to fix this. Cheers

Remove and check rear stop/tail bulbs, sounds like a filament has failed and is shorting across to the other filament.

Two things well worth carrying as spares in a D3 are stop/tail bubs and a brake switch.

Buy the bulbs in boxes of ten as you will need them!

Find which of the brake bulbs had been forced in the wrong way around and replace it.
I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Either way not a disco specific problem and one that's existed for about, oooh, as long as cars have had brake lights with twin filaments.
