Brake Fade
Any one had any issues with Brakes Failing/ fading?
My Brakes especially when on gravel roads fade after a while, can still stop, but no brake assist. Have to use real brute force to stop the vehicle. A few minutes later all is well.
My local oil salesman says the brake fluid is contaminated. Sounds feasable.
Two Questions.
1. Anyone experienced a similar problem?
2. How do I go about draining / bleeding the brakes on the D3? (Havent had it for long still working out what all the bits are for)I will go anywhere, as long as it be forward. David Livingstone

There's a recall for Brake Servo issue. If it get soil in the servo, makes it difficult to stop sometimes. Contact your dealer for recall infor or search on here.....Bodsys Brake Bible

Brake fade is caused by mouisture in the brake fluid. With todays fluid specs it's not as common as it used to be as there are moisture inhibiters added, the higher the DOT rating the better. I test mine at service with one of these .
I think you may have the problem Bodsy describes as brake fade normally occurs at high speed and I doubt anyone will stop quickly on gravel from anything other than a slow pace

Thanks guys.
I am hoping its just the fluid. Book says change every two years, but don't think its been done.
Any ideas on how to change the brake fluid?I will go anywhere, as long as it be forward. David Livingstone
