My Bournville d4 arrived.... |
|
hello,
Just got a view at my new d4 hse, bournville with light leather, 7 seats, premium leather, logic 7 sound, dark windows, paktronic in front, and tow kit....
NO cameras, panoramic roof, no rear diff, no 20's.... as not very crucial for me, (the car is for my wife)
I was worried about the colour, but in the real , it is just stunning, very classy and a bit of a difference over the black...(it's almost black...btw)
delivery during this week, i just can't wait
took 2 month to get it from order, which is not bad for morocco, here we see mostly rrs, disco are rare....
Our local dealer also has in stock a nara d4 hse but with the 2.7, it was price the same as mine, since the autobox is almost 5000 euros extras....makes no sense to me....
well, cheers, and will post pictures soon, especially interresting to see the color.....

Thanks for ur replies,
to verydisco, next time u come to morocco, contact me, it will be a pleasure to show you around...
Most moroccans who buy land rover go for the rrs, mostly urban users, a bit nouveau riche, mostly driven by women, and young entrepreneurs, the disco is viewed as too utilitarian and not enough status booster,
I liked the disco4 being more posh than the 3, but keeping a hardcore soul, it is for me the perfect mix, i will used it to tow my 8 mt rib boat, and my quad, go for atlas mountain trips and i can't wait to test the sand setting in the beaches and the desert, Will i be stuck? we'll see how efficeint it is....
touaregs are popular, but i personally h...e them.... yak

Hi Pipolepaw
My Bournville D4 is waiting at the dealer for the plates. I took the ebony interior as my boys would make a mess of the lighter colour. I'll post some pictures too when I get mine. I agree about the colour, a bit different than black and looked gorgeous under the bright lights in the showroom. Not sure how it will look in normal daylight (have only seen it under the leaden skies of Holland during this Winter period).
I wish you (and your wife of course) the joy of it.

first of all thks for the messages
My wife almost never drives, it was just a good excuse to treat myself, and gaining some points with her,
well i am not that bad, we have two young kids and a nanny and we do car pooling, ,
I drive a cayenne turbo as my every day car, and for the real deal, the disco will be the choice on week ends,
Bournville is weird colour, supposedly chocalaty, (bournville is a cadburry chocolate, right?), it is more aubergine eggplant coloured, it is nice , my only concern is how dust will show on it,
can't wait to have it on the driveway,.....

Hi Pipolepaw
Received some photos today from my dealer. I've put them in the gallery. Only outside pics at the moment no inside shots as yet. Peter

Picked it up Friday evening. Pootled around over the weekend. First impressions: whole family like it, road handling very smooth, like the steering very much, glad I took the ebony interior (muddy boot marks already appearing). Didn't push the car at all and only drove on the black stuff. Satnav a bit suspect, wanting me to drive past my motorway exit take the next and come back to the one I should have taken. Lots of controls to come to terms with (this is my first 4x4), lots of new gadgets to play with and one hell of an owners manual to read (unfortunately mine is in Dutch, English version still on order). Will take some interior shots when the weather improves and I have some sunshine. I hope yours comes soon, Pipolepaw, I know how keen I was to receive that telephone call from my dealer. Peter
