Bought a D4 3.0 GS, wahey |
|
Well bought a dealer used D4 GS, with the spec I wanted. Wasn`t bother about all the bells and whistles but so opted for a base with a few options.
Met. Grey 3.0 Auto GS, with bright pack, power mirrors, dealer fit side steps and black piano interior. With 7k on the clock.
Needed it now really had to sell the company 5 series (got good money private.) and saved £6000 off list, for just above 30k for a nearly new car what else compares. You can pay this for a 3 series 20d BMW.
U may have seen my earlier posts about a 18month old SE D3, but the new grill and that engine fits the bill perfectly, and i`m sure it`ll hold strong money over 4 years. Surely be worth £15k after 48 months
Can`t WAIT!!! Cars:-MY11 Evoque SD4 Pure, MY12 Defender 90 XS & MY08 Evo X RS

well got this last night.
AWESOME what a piece of kit and for the price of a Audi A4 allroad. These things can do it all.
Can`t believe how quick off the mark it is, ride is superb and very little body roll thru the corners
I`ll get some picks up later, only thing is I got some free carpet matts thrown in and they don`t fit the standard floor clips. The holes are in different places???? Cars:-MY11 Evoque SD4 Pure, MY12 Defender 90 XS & MY08 Evo X RS

The last time I drove a 2.7 was on a landrover day 2 years ago. then the car blew me away with what it could do. Took a guy out last night who`s had a RRsport a couple of years ago and he said it was better ride and performance.
The 3.0 engine has mind blowing take off for such a lump, and seemed to pull well, what ever speed i was doing.
Should have a fun day today!!! Cars:-MY11 Evoque SD4 Pure, MY12 Defender 90 XS & MY08 Evo X RS

Watch the ice out there this morning, remember you have 2.7 tonnes there, and stopping is the clever bit
Have a great day

I think you'll find that the D4 only weighs 2.6 tonnes.

Is that dry weight and without accessories? What about fuel, water, oil, side steps, roof rack, light grills, rubber mats, mud guards, mud in tyre tread, phone, CD's, ipod e.t.c. Oh! and the driver

Smart looking car Same colour as mine
So how did the days driving go, have you bonded yet? It took me 6 mths, I bought my car from new on a whim, didn't like it and left it in a car park at my marina for 6 mths until I could be bothered to go and have another try in it, I did and luckily we are now bonding nicely, we had a few moments when the engine went into limp mode on more than the odd occassion, but that's another matter

Really really rate. Its changed my driving style for the better. In my 5series i bombed about everywhere, in this i just cruise about and enjoy the comfort. Love it. Should have bought one years ago. Cars:-MY11 Evoque SD4 Pure, MY12 Defender 90 XS & MY08 Evo X RS
