Should I Be Bothered About This Oil Leak?

It’s up above the starter motor, next to where the oil drain pipe is(or I think that’s what it’s called).

I’m also guessing by the fact that this blanking plate is in place the “Excessive exhaust smoke” repair has been done? Saying that, it still smokes when I floor it and when I disconnected the hoses listed on the repair there was quite a bit of oil came out of them.

Diesel? That could be from the secondary Turbo. Would be the high pressure line?

I think it smelt more like oil. I’ve been getting a hot smell when driving and sometimes a tiny bit of smoke when parking up, but I put it down to brake callipers. After checking my brakes and finding them ok I was baffled by the smell!

I’m guessing maybe something is dripping onto the exhaust now? Confused

I am "hazarding" a guess and think that may be the pressure return line from the 2nd Turbo.

Worth looking at, as the oil is at a very high temp and that leak looks like a vapor leak...meaning it is only the early start of the problem. If you are smelling oil then it must be under pressure, or a massive spill. Should be an easy fix. I had my second turbo replaced on my 2010 TDV6 and ended up having a huge leak that appeared from the same area. Was a quick fix at the local dealer.
