Borrow upper bush tool

Hi,
Long shot, but does anyone in Peterborough have a the laser tool 6193 (or similar) that I could borrow? (Obviously happy to pay for the privilege)

This is the tool for the rear upright top bush.

Alternatively, does anyone know if you can get a multi bush removal/fitting kit that includes the right sizes for this bushing? Really could do with getting hold of this tomorrow and I’m meant to be using the car on Tuesday and the bush is shot.

TIA

It's not going to help today, but it is generally easier to change the arms complete.

Is it the upper hub knuckle bush you're hoping to change or the upper arm?

If it's the hub knuckle there's plenty of press kits on Amazon around the £80 mark

If you've got big enough sockets you could do it with them and either threaded bar or a vice / big G clamp - I've resorted to this in the past.

If it is the arm then change the whole thing and save time

Annoyingly I've bought complete upper arms to replace these, save mucking about with bushes, but the bolt in the upper bush of the knuckle is well and truly rusted in place, so need to replace these bushes.

It looks like there's a shop in Northampton that lists the tool as being in stock along with bushes, so will head that way tomorrow.

If the upper bush bolt is stuck in it's an easy enough job to cut through with a decent hacksaw blade in a padsaw type frame - I know because I've done it.

However.... you won't be able to use the threaded rod in a bushing kit as the remnants of the bolt are in place. You'll have to use a big G clamp or unbolt your bench vice and take it out to the car.

Again I know because I've done it Thumbs Up ....

I've given in, beaten by the rust, the knuckle bushes won't budge with any tools I have access to. I guess just like all the bolts etc, nothing had been touched for 12 years.

I've gone for full replacement uprights DA3865 a& DA3866. Not the cheapest way, but saves ,e having to contend with press in wheel bearings.

Just the final step of removing the rusted in handbrake cable, as I really don't want to replace these as well.
