Boot does not always unlock

Hope you can help, my 2005 disco 3 boots has a mind of its own.

I drive the car, and exit with the key. I can't open the boot even pressing unlock on the fob or the unlock button on the dash. Just a little click noise when I attempt to pull the boot open but it won't.

However, if I put the keys in the ignition, turn until all the lights on the dash light e.g. one away from starting then take the key out again. The boot now opens.

Any ideas ?

Any idead

I would do it very soon, or else you won't be able to open the boot to change the actuator.

I did mine a couple of weeks ago and was shocked at how week mine had become.

The part number is FUG500010
